Reconstruction
of Vavania, Rajkot, Gujarat:
J. B. Chemical & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has undertaken a Rehabilitation
Construction Project, commissioned by United Nations Development
Programme, for the earthquake-affected victims in Gujarat,
titled "Reconstruction of Vavania, Rajkot, Gujarat",
by setting up 185 dwelling units at a cost of Rs 1.25 crores.

J.B. Mody Park:
Recently, on request of the Bharuch Municipal Corporation
and the District Collector J. B. Chemical & Pharmaceuticals
Ltd. donated Rs. 40 lakhs towards the development of J.B.Mody
Park, the first of its kind in Bharuch, as part of its ongoing
Corporate Social Responsibility Program.

Mrs. Jayaben Mody Hospital:
We have also set up the "Mrs. Jayaben Mody Hospital"
- a 60-bed state-of-the-art hospital in memory of Mr. J.B.
Mody's mother, which meets to the needs of people in the surrounding
Ankleshwar and Bharuch districts, the Sardar Patel Hospital,
M.I. Patel Rotary Youth Centre. Guru School. Sanskar Deep
School, Shantivan Smashan (Crematorium) and the B.K. Mody
Government Pharmacy College, Rajkot.

Two separate Gujarati and English medium schools to be created:
The company has assigned an amount of 15 lakhs for the extension
of the Sanskar Bharati Trust School in Bharuch. The school at present
caters to the education of 600 students of classes KG to 12th backgrounds
in both English and Gujarati mediums. In order to bring about a
greater focus in the education program of the trust the school will
now be expanded into two individual language medium schools. the
Gujarati medium school will be called the J.B.Chemical School and
will also have the same amenities of the English School with a capacity
of 300 to 400 students. |
